BOSS & CO is a Toronto based production company specializing in content creation for underrepresented audiences adhering to a solitary cardinal rule: Thou shall not bore. Founded and run by women, BOSS & CO makes it a priority to present opportunity for emerging female filmmaking talent in every area of production. 

  BOSS & CO’s first series: BARBELLE in partnership with Bell Media screened across Canada on Bell’s FIBE TV1 channel. BARBELLE is slated for a world wide digital release in November 2017 on Shaftesbury/Smokebomb’s youtube channel KINDA TV. BARBELLE is a queer Canadian series following the story of two lesbian popstars as they navigate the ups and downs of celebrity in the digital age.   Executive director Karen Knox filmed the company’s latest comedy satire: Case of the Massey Bodice Ripping in September 2017. In partnership with the Toronto Rape Crisis Centre and the Kellet foundation, the film focuses on illuminating the overwhelmingly poor use of rape as a plot device in contemporary media.   BOSS & CO has several project in development for 2018 including a new Sci Fi all female biopunk series delving into the world of wetware cybercrime. BOSS & CO is run by Karen Knox, Gwenlyn Cumyn, and Michael Schram.
